Umrah #2

This time I am describing it as a marathon umrah. The distance from the hotel to masjidil haram is 1.2 km one way, add a couple hundred metres of detouring and evading the masses, I'd reckon I do around 10 km in a day. This is my fourth day here, I will complete my truncated walking marathon with a 15 kg adzeem all the way!

Yesterday I did tawaf sunat; each lap I reflected on my life in a 7 year cycle and I found some consistency since the early days on a few things:
1. I can't afford not to renew/ enhance my knowledge. E.g., in std 6. By not having a good learning year- my form 1&2 suffers.
2. Telling facts is virtuous- only if it is meant to the right audience and for the right decision making.
3. If I am passionate about the dream I can make it happens. The trick is how do I become passionate? And what kind of dream?
4. I like to improve process since Walt days of career.. And current process can be only modified for 3 years.. Ass 2 more years, the job become boring and I become complacent.
5. Most things in life move. Including worries. If I move my self, my job, my task, my butt- all related worries will move away- 99% of it.
6. Most importantly at most crucial juncture in my life, Allah is always there for me to pull through- all my journey to this Holy Land coincide with those junctures without me realising them. The only take- I need to move on I'm the right direction after the conversation with Allah. Hence the feeling of umrah 2001 reign supreme.

Umrah#2

Managed to get to raudhah on the 18th.Rabbi yassir.... Seemed to work its magic one more time. I stood a couple of feed to the left of raudhah... I wonder which of the sahabah stood there .

Got my usuall stuff- a jubah ( it must be 'ikaf' brand and sejadah. The shop at the lower floor of Taiba suite served its duty one more time.

Went with the kids for ziarah wida...

Trip to Jeddah was uneventful accept for the fact thy the bus driver lost his way exiting madinah and I shoutedat him, asking whether he knows the way or not.

Am writing this on board mh5000, 2 hours to KLIA. O Allah, please accept my prayers and my insufficient effort in asking for forgiveness, my fear and my hopes for my self- my health, career and happiness, my family and my faith in you. Please protect me all the time. Ameen

Umrah #2

It's the second day in madina, so far is uneventful and I intend to keep it that way. Everyone got what they want . Today it's the usual ziarah staple . Uhud, quba qiblatain... Insyaallah we will also go to Quran factory

While reflecting on the last day at mekah I realised that this trip is meaningful to me as I am travelling with my family. There was some sacrifices.. Less tahajjud, less time at multazam but the family agenda is intact. Thank you Allah.

I have not been to raudhah yet and adzeeem lost his slippers twice.

another gems discovered this time in mekah: there is a one man pizza shop at hotel Hilton and the pizza tasted superb and that near a hilltop at hudaibiyah there was a ruined supposedly a monument to marked the place where rasulallah made his tahallul with the sahabah

Umrah #2

Here I am again... Writing in mekah . This it's different than 2 years ago. This time it's a different jihad altogether. It's a long delayed sojourn born from the annual horriblis.

This time I am here with all the people that I love..

Some say that it's coincidence, the timing of me leaving Spcs; due in a months time, this pilgrimage serve as a closure to my love- hate relationship with that place...

I'll always thought of my journey to the holy land as allah's calling. I never planned hard for this, all I know that I yearn to come here and I want to brin my family. That's it.

And the notion of allah's calling started even before I leave klia. The plane that was suppose to leave on the 10th was rescheduled to the 9th. Strangely enough, the plane was delayed with mechanical problem and the take off was delayed and only able to leave on the 10th.

If Allah decreed that I am only his guest starting on the 10th, no matter what we planned nothing can beat His plan. Subhannallah!

The umrah went without a hitch. Alhamdulillah . I am proud of my kids, they were brave and dutily performed every rukn. And adzeem became the star performer, gaining the admiration of people in his ihram. Thank you god.

Slowly this place becoming like a stranger to me ... And definitely mummy will not recognise this place. I wish ya Allah that you still permit her to visit this place as your honourable guest.

New year resolution

Hello 2012, goodbye 2011... Albeit 4 days late. One person shared with me her new year resolution, 6 of them I think.. I wonder how long will it last or whether all can be achieved . I was asked to share; all I said was that I don't have any. I just want to be thankful to Allah for every second that he gives me life and for every breath of air that I inhale. That's all..

2011 left a lot of lessons learned though:
1. Don't bank on others for your career
2. What ever you planned for your kids, Allah planned better
3. Happiness does occur when you run

I'll continue my running and trust Allah more.

doa supaya anak elak buat masiat

i got this from ustaz zahazan when he gave his ceramah for jom suboh. i however copy this beautiful doa from one of the blog i found letak tangan di dadanya, dan bacalah doa ini: (Jika sukar membaca, copy, pastekan di atas microsoft word anda dan besarkan saiz tulisan) اَللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ ذَنْبَهُ، وَطَهِّرْ قَلْبَهُ، وَحَصِّنْ فَرْجَهُ. Maksudnya: “Ya Allah, ampunilah dosanya, bersihkan hatinya dan peliharalah kemaluannya” Riwayat Ahmad no.22265 feel free to copy it and change the pronoun appropriately for girl!

What a year...

The not so good results struck again. I am dissapointed that yong Na did not get 5a. I do felt that I am a lousy father in a sense that I couldn't excite my kids to study hard for their future and that I didn't give my best effort to make them successful.

What I can do is to learn from this- I must have the self-less ness mindset to ensure that my kids grow up and fulfill my vision of - when they grow up they will remember me in their prayers.

I was too embroiled and distracted with my own so call problem at work.

What a stupid I am
