Day 8-9

Day 8 and 9 we spent a lot at masjidil haram. We did some shopping at Hilton, I bought another sejadah and pah her jubah or abaya

Managed to have roti canai for breakfast. The roti cost 1 sr while the dhal cost 6 sr!

We opted out of the jiranah and te hudaibiyah tours. Focusing on tawaf sunat instead. Pah managed to kiss the hajar aswad. I even napped in the mosque!

Day 10- 11

Day 10. After fajr we packed up bags. Pah wanted to buy some toys for ukasyah and adzeem so we go back to hilton again. Spend the day at masjidil haram and i managed to reach the 11th juzuk

The toys proved to be defective and we have to change it. Qualiti conscience? The Xxxxxx have none, sad actually as it was mentioned in the alquran...

Day 11- we did tawaf sunat at 3am, and after breakfast we did tawaf widak... It was nearly fajr when i really felt the sadness, the longingness and the pining for allah and this place and for the first time in mekah(this trip) i really cried my heart out.. I prayed that this will not be my last trip to the holy land.

We left makkah at 9 for jeddah, stopping at Corniche, the red sea, and had lunch at saha hotel and qasr and jamak

We reach kaa airport at 4 pm..
We said thank you and goodbye to ustaz khoiruddin and bapak rifaie. And prepared ourself for checking in. We were lucky on the baggage weight. We put our most weight - dates and nuts( almost 10kg in our hand carry) so we are ok. Still at the airport we were asked to pay to the porter. Now I know how to handle this people... They wanted to be paid for meeting their kpis. I always observed that if someone here is behind a desk, got a walkie talkie, holds a hanphone- he will think that he is the bloody most important person in the world.( and these people can never queue... The xxxxxx - sorry if any of you guys are Reading this- found it insulting if they queue. They rather argue on why they are important and should be treated first; by the time they finish doing that, the queue will be his turn actually!! S****d people!)

At the duty free shop, I bought myself an Arabic music cd

We board the plane 15 to 10 and klia, we are coming home

Day 6-7

Ohh the legs! We started day 5 with the tawaf sunat and believe it or not we even manage to get a few solat including duha in the hijr Ismail!

Alhamdulillah

We wanted to try the hajar aswad but I backed off with a couple of meters to go... Naturally pah was dissapointed. We went back to the hotel for breakfast and shut eyes. At ten pah left for the mosque and I follow suite at 11. This time I m determined to kiss the black stone. I was determined that I will kiss it and all the way I prayed to Allah that I will be permitted to.

Alhamdulillah I managed it! I contemplated that there is a lesson to be learned here and applicable to my life. And here it is; I have to be patient in getting what I want. Be persistent enough and the opportunity will come; grabbed it and there will be another opportunity comes on my way ( I even managed to hang on the kaabah door!)

After lunch, we performed umrah. Almost got conned by an arab who offered to take us to taneem for 20 riyals(a fair price).Upon reaching taneem, he requested for the money to be paid then and there! i.e for one way. I haggled my way out and only pay half the agreed price... .

We performed umrah and finished before isyak. Ohh the legs...

Day 7 in the morning I spotted one roti canai stall behind Hilton. Hmm I wonder how long it'll last.. Look what happened to syaimah area. later we went to taif and visited ibnu Abbas grave, addas mosque and also the fruits market. We visited the taif museum. Taif was also the Saudi summer capital and also the defense for mekah. In the days of the pagan, taif was famous for the souk ukkaz and the pagan idol latta.

We performed umrah meeqat at the qornun manazil mosque. Arrived at masjidil haram just in time for maghrib, performed the tawaf go for isyak and finished the saie at level 2.

Ohh the legs!!!

Day 4&5

Day 4- friday in medinah, we spent the morning on the city tour visiting the qubaa, qiblatain mosques and the war sites of khandak and uhud. Before we adjourned for the Friday prayers, it was the usual stop at the dates market. I bought 6 kg if anbar, ajwa, pistachios and chocolates! I hope I am not going to burst my baggage limits.

After the prayers we did some shopping for the kids and I bought myself a sejadah; also kind of like a ritual buying everytime I visited this land.

I spent the time after isyak with a Saudi from Riyadh and we spent an hour or so - he queried about some properties that he hopes to buy in KL.

Day5- it's the day we bid good bye (for this time insyaallah) to rasulallah and get ourselves ready for the umrah. The bus ride took about 5 hours.

We reached mekah around 2.30 and what a change! All the places that I've known was not there anymore, just barren hills. They really want to modenise mekah. We stayed at hotel firdaus tower which is believe it or not about 1.2 km from the mosque.

After checking in we perform our umrah and finished the rituals befor maghrib prayers and the skies! It poured like it was monsoon in Malaysia! It rained for almost thee hours and I got the privelige to experience this torrential downpour at the two holy cities ( in medinah when I performed my hajj)

Rainy Mecca night!

Day 3

In the morning we left the hotel to visit the madain salleh. It is a world heritage site with ruins of the Nabatean.

In the alquran, ths is the place where prophet salleh and his kaum resided. This was also where the punishment of Allah was delivered to his kaum for killing the she camel.

During prophet muhammad, he passed through this place on the way to tabuk and reminded his army to hasten as this place is cursed...

We also visited the ottaman unfinished railway station

We left madain salleh and stop at khaibar for lunch. There is a good replica of a typical Arab house by the roadside in khaibar . We ate rice, meat curry and fried chicken

The journey back was uneventful, the only regret from the whole journey was that we missed so many fardhu prayers at the nabawi mosque...

It is also the first day of the semester break here and the atmosphere at the mosque is something like a carnival... And Arabs will always be Arabs I supposed...

Day 2- journey to the holy lands 10 feb

Today, I achieved something I've never done before. I manage the 3T plus the witr and the fajr in the raudhah. Alhamdulillah. Now my objectve for the rest of my life is to perform the 5 obligatory prayers in the raudhah!

After fajr, we got ready for the journey to al'ula which is 500 km north of madinah. It was a tiring journey with only sands and hills all over. I can't help to imagine of myself travelling on a camel caravan in time of the prophet.

The muttawif said that we pine for the prophet cause we know so much about him and want to be with him eventhough he us no longer with us...

We passed through places like Khaibar... The last Jewish stronghold in the Arabian jazeera. It is half way to al'ula. For whatever reason the Saudi govt still ban people from seeing the ruined stronghold. I was told that it is still in the Jewish agenda to get that place back.

Friends that I met told me that al'ula and madain saleh are 2 places worth seeing but not worth going to see. Well... It depends; if you want something like the big cities, it is so but if you like to see ruins of a railway station dated from the ottaman empire, rock formations that are the interpretation of your imagination, a 2600 year old fort, then maybe al'ula has something for you. Take a look

Khazaf & li'an - bicara addin

Bicara addin - ustaz Hj ALI b parman
Khazaf &li'an

Agama jiwa akal maruah harta

Kazaf- menuduh isteri berzina
&li'an - menafikan anak yg dikandung

Jika suami menuduh isteri yg x baik berzina, suami ditakzir ( keputusan hakim mahkamah) gugur hukum takzir jika boleh membuktikan (4 org saksi, perempuan double)

Gugur had atau takzir jika berlalu li'an.

Jika suami me li'an isteri- kena membuktikan melalui saksi. Jika enggan melakukan li'an dan tanpa saksi kena had

Suami bersumpah dihadapan hakim, didalam masjid diatas mimbar dan sekurang kurang nya dihadiri 4 orang. Bersumpah dgn berkata - aku baik saksi dgn allah bahawa akubterdiri drpd org yg benar terhadap isteriku yg melakukan zina- tunjuk, 4 kali. Jika hamil dan bersalin- dan bahasa senya kandungan (budak)ini hasil dari penzinaan dan bukan drpd aku...

... Dan ke atasku laknat allah jika aku terdiri drpd org berdusta jika isteriku yg tertuduh.... (pada kali ke 5)

Wajib dikenakan had zina jika li'an .

Kalau bercerai disebabkan oleh li'an - ba'in kubra muabbad- tak boleh kawin sampai bila bila. Haram selama lama nye
Gugur had tuduhan berzina. Talak ba'in - x payah lafaz

Jika isteri li'an balas- ulang sumpah 4 kali

Anak li'an ternapi nasab jika belum lahir tetapi setelah lahir -nasab dia. Ibu tetap bernasab.

Sah li'an dgn apa apa bahasa dan sah li'an jika org bisu menulis di atas kertas

Muqtroh- rogol - x masuk dalam zina.
Jika anak itu dilahirkan hasil rogol; jadi anak baitulmal

Journey day 1 8/9 feb

We left home at 10, with adzeem usual tantrum... He's been like this for the last few days. As if he knew that his ayah and ibu are going away for quite sometimes... He even chose the orange coloured tshirt for me to wear.

Arriving at the airport. I was surprise that there area few familiar faces.. Farehana and her family, Kak pah of pdb and azuwar sending off his mum

Nothing much happened in the Boeing 777( I fancy this machine more than the 747, let see how the new airbus purchase compares) watched the ...snow with meatballs or something... And the national treasure pt 2.. Again... There is a good tip about jet lag which I want to try... Be awake as much as you can when travelling west and try to get as much sleep when travelling east. Pah is suffering air sick as the tail is really wagging!

It was CAT all over India with head wind more than 200kmh. Consequently we are 2 hours late in arriving Jeddah. The usual chaos at the airport... In my observation, this people rather pull rank rather than doing jobs. We departed around 1/2 past 10 and to my surprise there was an Arab from the tourism ministry by the name of Sallah becoming our tour guide... As expected, he just give a'key note' address welcoming us and then he sat down all the way.

The journey to medinah took 4 hours. I manage to sleep in between the speed limiter alarm blaring once every couple of minutes and the engine humm; We stop at place call alfariq which is about 200 km into the journey. I agreed with the muttawif, it was a decent stop with a mosque, proper toilets and taza chicken outlet, the best I had experienced so far...The weather was freezing though... And I wish I didn't wear my jeans! We move on in the dark and 17 km before arriving at the prophet's city I was awaken by a call from an unknown number..

Medinah has change since I last visited. The giant umbrellas are all around the masjid! We arrived at 3.30 and after a quick refresher, we went to the mosque. It is really cold... In the early teens.
The morning hue is really gorgeous!

I didn't get raudhah in the morning... But I mange to see rasulallah... I am overwhelmed emotionally by it all once again, I felt that I had sins so much since the last visit that I just hope that I will still be considered as his umah in the hereafter
---

It's 3 pm local time. Believe it or not I m stuck here at masjid nabawi due to the fact that my slippers were locked by the barricade they made for the women( for them to access raudhah! ) Plus point? I managed 1/2 hr myself in the raudhah. Alhamdulillah

I miss my kids though. I m praying to Allah for enough money for me to bring them all to perform umrah and haj. Ameen

One more thing I like about madinah is the bookstore. I will always find books that would address my needs. This time around is the following book:-

I m eyeing another 2 actually... Those and a sejadah would be my shopping for this trip, god willing!
